Wealth and Health Inequalities in Glasgow is a film made for Social Issues in the UK.

Filmed in Glasgow in May 2008, the film debunks some of the myths surrounding issues of social exclusion.

It features staff and high achieving pupils from Drumchapel High School and St Andrews Secondary, Carntyne.

While there are wealth and health inequalities between Glasgow and its suburbs, many of the stereotypes of Drumchapel and the East end are outdated and misinformed.

We highlight the many positive aspects of life in these diverse communities.

Wealth and Health Inequalities in Glasgow shows that with initiatives such as Glasgow Works and continued regeneration, specifically by the 2014 Commonwealth Games, there are many opportunities for young Glaswegians to succeed.

Free with the DVD is a 24 slide power point with teacher notes to add greater understanding of the issues explored in the film.

Wealth and Health Inequalities in Glasgow complements the text book Modern UK Social Issues.

Both are available for immediate delivery.

The DVD comes free with class sets (20) of the Modern UK Social Issues or Modern UK Politics or a combination of both.

The DVD is for sale separately, price £15.

Wealth and Health Inequalities in Glasgow was made in association with Red Squirrel productions.
